n honor of Life and in participation with the national Respect Life Month, Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral will be holding our annual Respect Life Mass this October 19th at 10 AM. Celebrated by Bishop Daly, sponsored by the Respect Life Office, and in collaboration with the students of the diocesan Catholic schools, this Mass is an opportunity to come together in prayer for the most vulnerable in our society. Please join us in this beautiful celebration of the Eucharist.

Confessions are heard Friday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00p.m. There will be no Eucharistic Adoration this Friday. However, regular Friday evening Eucharistic Adoration will resume next week.

Two meeting times will be offered for our Sacramental Preparation program: Sundays between Masses (9:15 to 10:15a.m.) and Tuesday evenings (6:15 to 7:15p.m.) Families should register for one slot and plan to attend the same meeting time throughout the year. ADULT CHOIRS There are adult choirs for the (3) Masses celebrated each weekend.  Weekly rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00p.m. in the Church.

The Fall Book Study will be reading Fr. Kevin Codd’s recently published book, Beyond Even the Stars: A Compostela Pilgrim in France. The book chronicles Fr. Codd’s walk across Belgium and France: its hardships, its joys, its spiritual insights. Study dates: Tuesdays, October 2nd through November 13th from 7:00 to 9:00p.m. in the Parish Hall. There will be a viewing of the film “Es Usted un Peregrino?” (Are You a Pilgrim?) by Italian film director, Gian Cecatto on October 23rd. Fr. Kevin Codd, author of this contemporary pilgrim classic, will be a guest speaker the evening of October 30th. Cost of the book is $20. Family Faith Formation takes place Wednesday evenings. All are welcome! Singles, married couples, families with children at home, families with grown children, widows or widowers living alone…and everyone in between. FFF aims to unite families (including our wider Parish family) in discovering together the beauty and richness of our Catholic faith. In addition to age-appropriate formation and education, we will have opportunities throughout the year for social events, service projects, and growing in prayer.
